The Superiority Of Christ

Various Verses from Hebrews

1.   He is Better-Superior To . . Angels. 1:4

4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. NKJV

2.   He Offers A Better-Superior . . Hope. Heb 7:19

19 for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a

better hope, through which we draw near to God. NKJV

3.   He Offers A Better-Superior . . Covenant. Heb 8:6

6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also

Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. NKJV

4.   He Offers A Better-Superior . . Sacrifice. Heb 9:23ff

23 . . . with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy

places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to

appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as

the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another —

26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but

now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of

     Himself. NKJV

5.   He Offers A Better-Superior . . Reward. Heb 10:34ff

34 for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering

of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.
